Missing teeth can cause issues with eating and even speaking. Your lower jawbone or upper jawbone may also atrophy depending on where you are missing teeth. When this happens, the shape of the lower half of your face could be affected over time.
At Plaza 125 Dental, we offer both partial and full dentures as treatment options for our patients who have missing teeth. While dentures are not as effective at chewing as natural teeth, they can still greatly improve a person’s function and appearance.
A removable, partial denture can replace one or more missing teeth and restore your ability to chew food more easily and speak more clearly.
Full dentures are an option for patients who are missing all of their teeth or are missing almost all of their teeth (at which point, the remaining few teeth could be extracted to allow for full dentures).
We create our dentures from a flexible-base resin called Valplast.
There are pros and cons to temporary dentures versus permanent dentures. Dr. Sype will discuss all of this with you in depth, so that you can choose a treatment option that works best for you.
